3 Weeks to Recording
Hello fans! We have just over 3 weeks until we head up to the
studio...boy has time flown! This week we'll be putting the finishing
touches on our final 2 songs for the CD. A few weeks ago we took
some time out to cut some rough demo tracks of the songs, and boy
did that get us pumped up! While still rough, we could tell that these
songs will sound awesome in the studio! We've finalized our lodging
details for the week, sent our demos to the producer, and are
preparing for the journey. If time allows while we are away, we'll be
posting pictures and daily updates on our progress, just to keep
everyone in touch with what's going on. But if you don't see anything
new on the website, don't fear! It probably means we are deep in the
recording zone!
We have 3 shows left before we break for recording, so hopefully you
can get out and get your Lost Boys fix! Take care!

Citys and Busters Rocks!
Hey everyone! For those of you who missed our shows New Years
Eve at Busters and New Years night at Citys, they ROCKED! Both
places were totally packed, and we had a blast playing our new songs
to the crowds. We only have three shows left before we head to the
studio, so do your best to get out and see us!
We can't say enough "thank yous" to our loyal Lost Boys fans. Their
numbers are growing every week, so it's difficult to name all of them,
but you know who you are! PLEASE continue your undying support
as we begin our seventh year of Lost Boys music!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone! Be sure to check us out on New Year's
Eve at Buster's in Springfield 10pm-2am, and on New Year's Night at
City's in Jacksonville 8pm-midnight. Both of these shows will ROCK!
We have just over a month before we head into the studio. We have
song number 10 complete (Call of the Wild), song number 11 in
progress (Evil Potion), and our 12th and final song written and ready
for rehearsal (unnamed at this point). We'll be cutting rough demos in
Scott's studio in a few weeks and then rehearsing and gigging
through January in preparation for recording. Stay tuned!

Happy Holidays!!!
We'd like to wish everyone a very safe and happy Holiday Season!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
This has been an exciting year for the Lost Boys. We played a ton of
gigs, had a great summer festival run, and did a show with LA Guns,
Stephen Pearcy from RATT, and WASP, and made some wonderful
new fans. We also started working on our next CD! Two months from
now we'll be in the heat of recording sessions, working hard to create
a collection of songs that we hope all of you will enjoy listening to as
much as we enjoy writing and performing them.
Thanks again to all of our fans for their amazing support, and be
safe!!!!

CD Progress
Only 2 1/2 months until we head to the studio to record our next CD.
We've been working hard, writing and rehearsing every week to get
the songs ready to track. At this point we have eight new songs in
rotation on our set list, and many more ideas being developed. We
hope to have 11 or 12 songs on the CD. For those of you keeping
track, here are the songs we've completed so far for the new CD:
Time
Side of Myself
What Have I Done
Head in the Sand
Face the Storm
Lost Boy
Life Keeps Going
Freak Show
We are so excited about this CD that we can hardly wait to get it
completed and get our music out there! As of right now the first
official day of tracking will be February 5th, 2006, and we'll be working
steadily for the next week laying down as many tracks as we can.
Look for a HUGE CD release party sometime next spring!!!!
Sunday November 20, 2005
Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone from the Lost Boys. We will be
appearing at City's in Jacksonville on Wednesday November 23 to
help ring in the holiday season. Get there early, because it will be a
packed house!

49ers Rocks!!!!
What a GREAT time at the 49er last night! A huge, enthusiastic crowd
packed the place and danced and cheered the entire night. Our
faithful fans helped celebrate Trim's birthday with a cake, balloons,
and a gift. We unveiled the newest Lost Boys song for our upcoming
CD, coincidentally titled "Lost Boy". Since it was a Budweiser True
Music Behind Bars show, we also pulled out our version of the new
Budweiser jingle that's on the radio.
The 49er is a really cool place. The staff took great care of us. Let's
hope we have many more shows just like last night!!!
Tuesday November 8, 2005
Great Show at Tommy G's Tommy G's on Saturday was a GREAT
time! This was the biggest crowd for us so far - of course, it was also
our first Saturday there, and we did have a dozen or so of our most
loyal fans in attendance! Hopefully we'll be back soon!

be a busy year for the Lost Boys with the release of their new CD, so
check their schedule often!

Recording Studio Selected for Next Lost Boys CD
After visiting many studios over the past few months, we've decided
to record our next album at Cellar Records in Dixon, IL. Cellar
Records is the fastest growing independent record label, and is
owned by Grammy-nominated producer Todd Joos. We met with
Todd a few weeks ago and were extremely impressed with his
personality, qualifications, philosophy, and his studio. We expect to
start recording in early February 2006.

New Lost Boys Merchandise coming to our online store!!!
Check out our new online store. More merchandise and images will
be added soon, so check back often. Also, if you have a cool idea for
a Lost Boys graphic or merchandise item, let us know!!!

Lost Boys to be on Cover of River City Times
We've been informed that we are to appear on the cover of Peoria's
River City Times this weekend to promote our upcoming show at
Tops 'n Tails in Creve Coeur. Let's hope!
CD Progress
As of now, four songs have been written and played at our live
shows, and are getting a great response! Those songs are:
Time
Head in the Sand
Side of Myself
What Have I Done to Me
We are touring another studio in a few weeks, and will make our final
studio selection shortly after that. We expect to complete our writing
by the end of the year, and get started on tracking in January. We are
all very excited about the new CD!!!!
Website Updates
Some minor changes have been made to the website. Look around
and see if you notice the subtle differences. More changes are
coming!

Great show last week at City's Sports Bar and Pub in Jacksonville!
This was our second time there, and the crowd was definitely bigger
and more enthusiastic than the first. Our next show there is
Thanksgiving Eve, so we are hoping to rock the place before
everyone goes home for turkey!
Booking Confusion
We got some emails this week from fans who said they showed up to
Lock, Stock and Barrel in Decatur to see us Saturday night (after
calling the club to find out who was playing), only to find out we had
canceled the show. WRONG! We had originally booked a show for
September 10 a while back, but several months ago the club called us
and canceled us, saying they were going to stop having bands. As it
turns out, the girl who booked us originally quit and never told
anyone that she had canceled our appearance! We apologize to
anyone who showed up to see us, and thankful for your support.

DuQuoin State Fair
We had two shows in DuQuoin last weekend. On Friday we played in
the beer garden at Ten Pin Alley, just oustide of the fairgrounds. This
is one of the finest beer gardens we've ever seen! Huge stage, great
bar under the pavilion, giant lighted volleyball court. Dixie, the owner,
and Casey, the bartender, were AWESOME! They took great care of
us and made us feel very welcome for our first ever performance
there!
On Saturday we played at the beer tent at the DuQuoin State Fair.
What an INTERESTING night! Just as we got our gear on stage and
were sound checking, a monsterous storm blew through. Torrential
rains pummeled the tent and sent everyone outside the tent
scrambling to find shelter under the beer tent. Water was pouring in
all sides of the tent, and a little river developed and ran right across
the dance floor. People were getting soaked. Due to the huge
lightening, power to the tent was shut down for about 30 minutes until
the storm quieted. After that, we were able to start our show and rock
the drenched crowd as several crazy people began sliding through
the mud in the cattle arena next to the tent. Luckily no one was hurt
and everyone had a great time!
Tuesday August 23, 2005
2005 Illinois State Fair
We had a great time playing at the Illinois State Fair Budweiser Tent
last week! Sunday was cool and it rained the entire day. The fair was
a wet, muddy mess, but the beer tent was packed and the crowd
really enjoyed the show!
Saturday was just the opposite - hot, dry and steamy! But once again
the tent had the biggest crowd of the fair (according to Jack Howard
of Budweiser), and it rocked! Unfortunately, due to some bomb threat
to the fairgrounds, the show was cut short. But while it lasted,
everyone had a great time and once again enjoyed the antics of the
WQLZ/Budweiser "hair guitar" contest and give-away of a Budweiser
guitar.
This week we will be down in southern Illinois at the DuQuoin State
Fair. See you there!

Fair Time!
Wow, another summer is nearing it's end, and that means another hot
month at the Illinois State Fair. We always look forward to these
shows, even though load in is a bear -- proving to the "gate natzis"
that we really are in the band, driving like a snail through an oblivious
crowd of fair-goers who give us dirty looks, finding a parking space
within 50 yards of the beer tent, then hauling our gear across the hot,
dusty, smelly parking area. But once we are in the tent, set up and
sound-checked, things are awesome! There are fewer things better
than performing to an enthusiastic (translate: slightly inebriated)
packed crowd on a warm summer night with the smell of corn dogs,
funnel cakes and sheep turds permeating the air.
OK, so maybe that was a little too colorful of a description...but you
get the idea.
For most "local" or "regional" musicians, playing at the fair
represents the pinnacle of their year. We look forward to the chance
to entertain new people from around the country who are not familiar
with us. This year is no exception! So get out to the Bud Tent at the
Illinois State Fair on Sunday August 14th and Saturday August 20th
and check us out!!!!
Wednesday August 3, 2005
Hey everyone! We had a lot of fun at the show last night playing with
WASP, LA Guns and Stephen Pearcy. Although we could only play a
20 minute set, we made the most of it and got the crowd ready for the
rest of the bands!
Tuesday August 2, 2005
Hi Everyone! We had a great time in Divernon this weekend. The
crowd really enjoyed our mix of 80s hair music and Lost Boys
originals.
Tonight we hit the stage as the opening act for the American Metal
Blast concert featuring Stephen Pearcy, LA Guns, and WASP. It
should be a great show! We'll let you know tomorrow!!!

Lost Boys Fans are the Greatest!
Hey everyone - we wanted to share parts of a cool email we got
recently from one of our most loyal fans. This is exactly the reason
why we love playing music!
Hey!
I have no idea who sees this, if it's one or all of ya, or Mikey for that
matter *lol* But instead of signing the guestbook AGAIN I just thought
I'd send a shout out to ya in email and let you know, loved the show
in Chatham...
...You guys do such a great job with the music that brings back a
million memories everytime I hear it, and you're adding new
memories to the old ones now. And that is just the coolest. That
music is still my lifes blood and it always will be. Thanks for putting
so much of yourselves out there every night. It's appreciated, even if
I don't always have the chance to say thanks at the end of the night...
...But I just wanted to let you know, as I know I've never told some of
you personally, I love the shows and that you're all just awesome!
Love and Rock 'n' Roll

Busters Rocks!
The Lost Boys kicked some major ass last night at Busters! The new
air conditioning kept everyone cooled down, but the party was as hot
as ever. In preparation for some upcoming concert appearances, the
Lost Boys have been throwing in more of their original tunes, and last
night unveiled a new cut from their upcoming CD. For those of you
who missed the party, be sure to get to the next Lost Boys show!
Sunday July 24, 2005
So what's been going on in the Lost Boys world? We have the
upcoming Mikey's Metal Madness concert on August 2 with Stephen
Pearcy (formerly of Ratt), LA Guns, and WASP. Since we only play a
30 minute opening set, we're gonna play our heavier originals and
maybe 1 or 2 rockin' cover tunes just to round things out.
On August 6 we make our first appearance at the Back Alley in
Pittsfield with Antidote and the Pimps. Antidote is the top band in the
Pittsfield area, and the Pimps are one of the top regional acts. This
will be one killer show, so if you can make it to Pittsfield please come
on over and show your support for the Lost Boys!
We are continuing planning and writing for our next CD. We have
already added one of the new tunes to our live show to test it's
response and tighten it up. So far so good! We have been in
discussion with several studios in Chicago and Bloomington area
who are very interested in working with us. We plan to do sessions in
January and/or February 2006 so the CD can be ready by next spring.
Until then, we are continuing writing and recording scratch demo
tracks.

Another Summer Concert at the Sweetcorn Festival!
The Lost Boys had a great time rocking the Chatham Sweetcorn
Festival. This was the third year in a row for them to be there, and it
was excellent! Over 1,500 people rocked out to an energetic show!
Monday July 4, 2005
Capital City Celebration Rocks!
What a beautiful night for a rock concert in the streets of downtown
Springfield! The Lost Boys had a blast entertaining the enthusiastic
crowd (as well as the many spectators who stood outside the gates to
watch for free!).
Let's hope Springfield brings more outdoor concert events to
downtown!
Sunday June 26, 2005
A great weekend of festivals!
We had a blast this weekend playing at the Chatham homecoming
and the Sherman homecoming. Although the weather was hot, the
crowds were having a great time dancing and partying to the Lost
Boys! This was the first weekend for the concert ticket giveaway, and
many people signed up for a chance to win - but there can only be
one winner each night! Be sure to get to a Lost Boys show during
July and register for your chance to win!

Be sure to browse around the site and look for all of the new
changes...more pictures, updated information, and some hidden little
known things about the Lost Boys!
Sunday June 19, 2005
The show last night at the Miller Tent at the Sangamon County fair
ROCKED! It was a perfect evening, not too hot, not too cool. As the
crowd began filing in before, during and after the Gin Blossoms
concert, the tent got louder and rowdier. Several times after the Lost
Boys finished a song the crowd erupted into a huge deafening roar.
Fans told us they could hear our music from across the fair at the
grandstand and that attracted them toward the tent.
The new Lost Boys TShirts were a hit, and many were sold (and
subsequently worn) as the night went on!
Saturday June 18, 2005
What a great show at the Sangamon County Fair Grandstand!!! A great
crowd enjoyed the Lost Boys on a beautiful summer night. The PA
was cranking, the crowd was cheering, and the band was having a
great time!
Saturday June 18, 2005
Be sure to surf around our website. We are continually adding new
